Who am I?

Hi! Iā€™m Margaux (with an X) and I am a Fiber Artist. I was taught how to knit by a group of women at the public library when I was 8 years old, and I have loved it ever since. Later in life, I taught myself to crochet, sew, and embroider.

Sustainable Art

I started with an X art in the fall of 2023 going to craft shows and completing commissions for customers. When starting a small business, I knew I wanted to be as sustainable as I possibly could be.

Some of my sustainability practices include:

  • Using thrifted and cleaned materials such as yarn, thread, and fabric for the majority of my products

  • Using fabric and yarn scraps as stuffing for products

  • Thrifting the bulk of my display items for craft shows

  • Using blank paper gift bags for customers at craft shows so they can reuse the bags to gift items in the future.

As my business grows I hope to grow my sustainability practices along with it

Fun

Why is fun one of my core tenets for this business?

Nothing makes me happier than people coming up to my booth at a craft fair with big smiles excited to see my work.

From cat toys and fidget toys to jewelry trees shaped like mushrooms, I want my products to bring people a little bit of fun and whimsy.
